The Atmosphere Lamp is a one-of-a-kind painted decorative standing lamp originally sourced in the antique shops of Bristol, United Kingdom, for the purpose of painting it by hand.

The original dark wood finish has been refreshed and updated with a hand painted expressionist cloudy sky design conceived and painted by artist Rose Fulbright. The pale globe at the base of the lamp is representative of the sun, with the sky darkening towards the top, replete with cherubic clouds.

Hand painted in natural chalk paint and finished with wax. Price includes the basic shade seen in photos, if required. Dimensions are for the lamp without the shade. This piece is from the Light & Water Collection, which was showcased in a solo show in Surrey, United Kingdom in July 2024.

Light & Water is a series of paintings and painted furniture that was inspired by a family trip to Scandinavia in 2023. In this body of work, Rose explores her experiences of awe in nature, working with the most unifying element of human experience, the sky above.

This functional art work is created from a charming vintage item that has been refurbished but retains slight original wear and tear, to the taste of the artist.
