The Lady of the Moon table, a one-of-a-kind hand made European table, pretty Victorian style pedestal feet and hexagonal top. Sourced from the archive at Portmeirion Village in North Wales, where this table had been in the hotel. This table was sourced for the purpose of painting it by hand. 

The table has been refreshed and updated with a hand painted abstract design of the moon and deep blue night sky conceived and painted by artist Rose Fulbright. The dark table top colour gradually fades down the leg to the paler blue feet, with silver leafed edges suggesting moon beams, giving it a gentle mystery.

Hand painted in natural chalk paint and finished with lacquer (pedestal) and a waxed table top.

This piece is from the Light & Water Collection, which was showcased in a solo show in Surrey, United Kingdom in July 2024.

Light & Water is a series of paintings and painted furniture that was inspired by a family trip to Scandinavia in 2023. In this body of work, Rose explores her experiences of awe in nature, working with the most unifying element of human experience, the sky above.

This functional art work is created from a charming vintage item that has been refurbished but retains slight original wear and tear, to the taste of the artist.
