April : Flavours of the Month

April : Flavours of the Month

Rose often gets asked where her inspiration comes from for new designs, so we thought we'd start sharing a little monthly round-up of our favourite creatives and cultural happenings around the world for your enjoyment.

Take a dip into the beauty, art and creativity going on, hopefully you'll feel a little inspired yourself!

Our favourite Instagram accounts

@Bradleyseymour

Bradley's selection of uplifting and serene interiors makes us feel better every time we pop over to his page. Take a deep breath and imagine you're there in a sun-dappled room of objets d'art, cocooning you in their beauty. Sigh!

Suyao is not only a gifted watercolorist, but also has a wonderfully creative approach to creating her surreal paintings. Watch her mesmerising painting videos for some instant relaxation and visual pleasure.

Our favourite Customer selfies

Our item of the month was the Alaria Long Silk Robe, and two of our happy customers wore it during some life changing events...

The Miracle of Birth
Pregnant woman in silk robe
Lainy is our hero - this amazing woman went through four exhausting days of failed induced labour before going for a c-section. This is Lainy at hospital in Beijing awaiting her section, wearing her Alaria Robe and Seaweed eye mask. The poise, calm and elegant strength she exudes is just incredible.

The Wedding Morning
Bridal silk robe for wedding morning
Every bride feels the flutters of thrilling nervousness on their wedding day morning. The gorgeous Melangell had even more reason to celebrate and anticipate her big day, having had to postpone her wedding for a year. She opted for the vibrant Alaria Robe to wear whilst getting ready, and we are sure the beautiful colours and luscious silk satin helped to give her that shining confidence and joyful glow, to feel like the queen she is on the most important of days.

What's Next?

We love searching for up-and-coming happenings, and are very excited to share our wishlist of exhibitions to see - sadly we can't travel as much as we'd like to at the moment, so if you're able to see some of these exhibitions for us, let us know!

- Eileen Agar: Angel of Anarchy - Whitechapel Gallery (from 19th May)
